Evidence before the deadline: preparing for diligence without panic
Late gaps make teams look exposed. The fix is an evidence habit, not a last-week scramble.

Panic audits produce paper. Habits produce proof.
From finding out too late to knowing in advance is the point of independent review. Late gaps make CFOs and founders look exposed in front of investors, regulators, or enterprise clients. The fix is an evidence habit, not a last-week scramble.
Start with four artifacts
If these four are incomplete, everything else is decoration:
Access reviews
Change logs
Vendor lists with owners
Incident records with closure notes
Why independence helps
An outside reviewer will ask for the artifact, not the story about the artifact. That pressure is useful. It turns tribal knowledge into documentation you can show.
We scope for your actual situation. Series A prep is not the same as a regulated inspection. The report should match the room you will sit in next.
If your diligence pack cannot answer "show me," it is not ready.
Find out what an outside eye would catch while you still have time to fix it.
